New photo book on Dartmoor
In september 2014 I made a five-day walk with two old friends Marcus Noble and James Richardson across Dartmoor. Setting of in sunshine we journeyed through rain, mist and myth to the ancient oak woodlands of Piles Copse, Wistman’s Wood and Black-a-Tot-Beare. We have just published with Watermill Books a lovely hard back of the photographs, poetry, prose and illustration from this journey, thanks to the design work of fourth friend Dave Harbott. The High Oak is a personal response to our walk, offering a vibrantly direct encounter with a much-loved landscape. It has 128 colour pages and is currently out of print (sold out).
