‘Summer in South Georgia’ sent to print
After a few very intense months of design and editing we have hit the print button on ‘Summer in South Georgia!’ It has been an exhaustive process of fine combing the text for errors and photo corrections that came down to quibbling over the inclusion of individual snow flakes on the front cover image. I’m hugely grateful for the focus and and professionalism of both the designer David Harbott and my publishers Kevin and Jane Ramage at Watermill Books.
I'm really excited about how the book looks on screen - now it is over to MRM Graphics to guide it accurately into print. MRM printed my previous two books (Winter in Glen Lyon, The High Oak) to very high standard so I’m feeling confident, if still a little nervous now this last stage is truly out of my hands. We have opted for a traditional litho rather than digital print which produces more consistent and truer colours. The G-Matt art paper should also give the book a real quality finish.
We are looking to launch ‘Summer in South Gerogia’ on Friday the 6th of August with an exhibition in the Aberfeldy Watermill. So now I’m turning my attention to printing and framing some big landscape and wildlife images from the ends of the World.
